Hi and thank you for stopping by Studio 516 Photography. I’m excited you are here and want to take this chance to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a Florida raised girl since the age of 9, and while I’ve lived in two other states (NY and TX) I just can’t get Florida out of my heart. It’s where I met my best friend and favorite person, Joe. We went to High School together, and reconnected at our 10 year reunion…and as they say, the rest is history. We are the proud parents of a super cute pup named Monchy. If you stay long enough you’ll see some images of him throughout the blog.
I got my love of photography through my fascination with cameras, prints and albums. To this day, I still have my very first film camera, Minolta, and can’t seem to part from it.
Here are just a few of my favorite things that I also love:
Music: I love music, any type, and will happily dance my heart out wherever I am.
Glasses: I’m a huge fan of black rimmed glasses! (geeks unite!!!)
Sneakers & Nano: I love working out when I get the chance, and I always keep these two nearby in case I get the whim to quickly go to the gym, go for a walk, or a great jog during the cool fall season.
Make up: I keep my makeup to a minimum and love to play up the eyes! Adding 2 coats of mascara always does the trick!!!
Hi…my name is Natasja and I’m a Starbucks and Haagen Dazs addict (waves hand enthusiastically). My favorite go to drink is the is non-fat, decaf White Chocolate Mocha with whip! For the Holidays I always go for the Eggnog Latte! Very rarely do I ever go a day without Starbucks. As for ice cream, Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice cream is absolutely amazing! It’s perfect for when staying in and watching a movie!
I’m a huge Carolina Herrera perfume fan! And this perfume is my current favorite!
Notebook: This is my way of relaxing! I’ll grab my notebook, which is always on my desk, and I’ll start writing down ideas and goals!

I’ve been in the photography industry for over 5 yrs. I am licensed and insured and a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA). I love capturing couples committing to each other, and it’s why, after my own special wedding day, I revamped my business and name to Studio 516 Photography. As a nod to my wedding date, and as reminder that there are 365 days in a year, but 1 special day that means so much and should be documented!
There is something to be said for the couples who choose to elope, or have what they like to call “a small vow ceremony in our backyard…nothing fancy”. Those couples are my absolute favorite. They put all the touches that define them and their personality into such a special and meaningful day.
It’s why as of 2012, I’ve chosen to cater to Elopement and Intimate Wedding Photography. Photographing amazing clients who create their own style for their day.
Style:
I have a laid back approach when it comes to Elopements and Intimate Weddings. I work primarily with natural light and will occasionally use flash to get that perfect evening/night shot. With Elopements and Intimate weddings, my approach is to document your day, as it happens, nothing staged or posed. Sure, we’ll create some time for some posed images to hang perfectly on your wall, or place in a frame for your loved ones; but I love to photograph the couple who high-five each other after their vow and kiss, and who laugh together as they take in the excitement of what’s to come.
